Today the Brick Assembly group visited the Ibstock Atlas Factory in Aldridge, Walsall where we were first given a presentation of the various methods and techniques involved in making bricks. We were then given a guided tour of the factory floor

In this session, we were shown the process of hand throwing bricks. Tools & Materials: Wet Clay Sand Brick Mould Water Pallet board Metal Bow Kiln Method: Firstly, prepare the mold (wooden.) This should be made to standard size of a brick.
