Knowledge Exchange offers students a space to apply research in business matters, practice management, and the relationship between academia and practice. The concept takes precedence from a Government-led Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) which encourages, funds, and supports Universities working with industry partners to tackle core strategic issues in their business and devise innovative solutions to help improve their competitiveness and productivity.

Interested part-time students identify an issue that their practice would like to address using expertise at the School and University, whilst students gain academic credit for it. Suitable projects can be based around issues such as marketing, sustainability, work processes, office systems, design standards, staff management, or any research and development area.
