COLLABORATORS: BSoAD
STUDENT GROUPS: BA (Hons) Architecture, Product Design, Landscape, MArch Architecture
PROJECT TYPE: interdisciplinary exploration, editorial, cross level mentoring

BSoAD and the wider University produce outward facing marketing material focusing on student final projects and staff research outputs. The intention of this project is to produce a piece of marketing material that looks more closely at the unfinished, the experiments, the creative leaps, the inner machine and the works in progress.

With a focus on design development, the project outcome is to design and produce a printed document capturing this part of the design process rather than the final product. The project will require an investigative approach (interviews, observations, case studies) through recording (photography, film, audio) and representing findings (drawings, photography, diagrams, making) to the inclusion of new collaborative works that further explore the notion of experimentation as a process. This project will require close inspection of creating public facing documents, a critical view on graphic design and to work collaboratively with the project coordinator who produces marketing material for the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design.
