Today the Brick Assembly group visited the Ibstock Atlas Factory in Aldridge, Walsall where we were first given a presentation of the various methods and techniques involved in making bricks. We were then given a guided tour of the factory floor seeing the first hand the production process. The bricks made at this factory are all extruded and wire cut and then have various treatments applied such as sand, mineral sprays and impression rollers.
