In week three we carried out a more detailed site analysis using film, photographs and sound recordings to gain more in-depth information on the experience of using the waiting/transit space. The diagram shows the flow of movement between entrance and egress, where people are waiting and how people use the seating areas.
The diagram showing analysis of the ground floor includes photographs of individual areas shown on the floor plan illustrating the facilities available at the station.
Following the site analysis we concluded that the seating areas were an afterthought and not integral to the overall design of the station. It seemed as if the interior design was a separate element.
