It’s no surprise that there are conflicts over the ownership of space. Researching public and private spaces has made it clear that there is an ever growing need for successful community spaces, to bring communities together to strengthen relationships.
Following interviews with various community members of Kings Heath and our own communities, we will be making of a film showing the story of one of these community groups who are battling with this topic of space ownership, given that the rooms they currently rent no longer suit their needs.
“Who’s space is this?” provides a basic demonstration of this ‘invisible’ issue. This clip, (thanks to PT1 Future Archaeology) will form an introduction to the subject matter.
