In 2015, we designed Centrala, opening in the Minerva Works complex as one of many new independent arts organisations popping up in the Digbeth Area. Its diverse programme of performance, visual arts and music events brought a new dynamic to the city’s arts scene. In 2016, we helped them with the design of extending their footprint taking over the first floor industrial space that was above them – effectively doubling the size of the venue.
Since then, we are really pleased to see it grow, hosting a number of Sofar Sounds nights, more recently BBC Radio 3’s Exposure and being featured as the backdrop to BBC 1’s documentary Jody’s Lovely Letters.
