During our tour around the Ash and Lacy site we were given the opportunity to take part in the fabrication process of a panel, which allowed us to understand the folding, drilling and riveting process. We inherited these processes incorporated a number of tabs that could be folded into our design. These tabs would be drilled through and a rivet would be used to fasten our triangular element to the extruded square tubing which would be used to present the stave lines for our design. Initially we tested this on scrap materials to work out the process before we carried out the process on a one to one mock model of our design.
