The first workshop with the digital fashion student was an insight into their drawing techniques. Nathan – who ran the session – encouraged us to become more experimental with our sketching; using our opposite hand and time constraints to achieve this. Below are the sketches that came from the session.
We completed several exercises including looking at only the light and shade of the model, the way in which a garment hung from the model as well as looking at the visual contours of the figure shape.
