After creating the mock ups, we made a 1:10 scale model to test out the scheme and the Aluminium. This was an interesting and extremely useful experience as several issues were highlighted such as the type of connections we should use-riveted aluminium piece instead of screws. We also discovered that the process was not as simple as previously thought and that it required our full attention, especially when working out the angles and the pattern we wanted to achieve. Sketch models are key. We decided that using rivets was going to be the best option, as they were not too visible but still strong enough to do the job. The entire process required all of us but we learned that we need to delegate specific duties and keep thinking ahead, to make the process more efficient.
