The design of a successful house extension invariably requires a knowledge of the building type and sensitive handling of scale and detail. Mary Vale Road as a boundary of conservation area becomes reference between preserved and non preserved estate. Typology of houses along the street is different within the boundary which the conservation area is more concern instead of housing outside the perimeter. Therefore a focus study on the detail of entrance had made for an archive. It will be a series of doorways from various typologies of houses.
