Client day, and the whole project culminating in a presentation to the school. Whilst presenting to a 6-7 year olds present a communicative challenge of it’s own, it does allow for some added creativity and drama to get them engaged.
You can resort to informative but practical content on getting a ‘pitch’ right for a client meeting. However, kids perhaps aren’t as keen to know about the logistics of construction (and rightly-s0). So instead, the conversation is liberated from pragmatics and more about the quality of space, usage and material. A proposal may not mean so much to them until you let them know where you can roast some marshmallows!
It was worth it when you heard a collective ‘oooh’ from the kids when we showed them the main images.
