Once the mould has been made and the Ibstock clay was ready we could throw the bricks to experiment with the mould and to see if there were any problems with the mould. It was down to me to ensure that the brick was thrown properly as i had been inducted on how to throw it properly.
This was with the original mould meaning that the brick would be too small to use however, this can be used a practice to throw bricks. We also used clamps to hold the walls of the mould together to ensure they do not kick out when the clay gets thrown into it.
