Reaching zero carbon| Wadzanai Mhuka

The arrival of zero carbon was fairly easy. After addressing the building fabric all that was left was to add renewables. As part of any design, architects need to recognise  that  sustainability should be part of the building fabric rather than an additional post-production cladding. A good example of what zero carbon is trying to achieve is the zero carbon house in Birmingham which from all stages was incorporating   energy efficiency and reducing he carbon footprint of the house.
