Working in-conjunction with the zero carbon course students, masters students have been training in a software called Integrated Environmental Solutions.
This Co.Lab project is currently a knowledge sharing based process to allow architectural students to gain a further understanding of a computer based piece of software that allows users to evaluate the performance of existing or future builds.
We have just completed basic training of the software and will soon be undertaking a new case study “Victorian House”. Using this case study we will learn how to apply zero carbon techniques to an existing building and how we can evaluate these solutions using IES. – John , Lydia, Callum.
