Birmingham Co.Lab has recently submitted 2 projects to the Architect’s Journal Small Projects award, celebrating the best schemes with a contract budget under £250,000.
We submitted the Flatpack Palais and Dudley Zoo Tecton Installation. Whilst both projects are both very small compared to many of the other submissions, it is important to promote a full scope of architectural works, as well as giving all students and consultants a sense of satisfaction and recognition for their hard work. It highlights that education is not only to enlighten student’s thinking, but can contribute to the current discourse on architecture, and especially creativity.
The winners of the award will be featured in a special edition of the AJ in February.
