This is my initial concept for the A&D Studio.
The idea was to provide mobile units that the students could organise to suit their way of working, creating a large work-space on one side for large drawings of manufacture, and a small work-space on the other for sketchbook work and laptops.
These areas drop drop from the main unit so that they sit flush and it can be used as a partition system as well as displaying work.
Sections remove from the unit so that they can be used as a high stool, or bench, as well as a display podium for work.
The idea was to create a multi-functional unit that could be used in different ways to suit peoplse individual needs allowing for the student to organise their own privacy or group based way of working.
